5. NEWTON'S METHOD SETS WITH MATLAB



MATLAB is useful also to plot Julia sets generated by Newton's method applied to the research of the roots of complex functions starting from a point of Gauss plain which is estimated to be not far from a solution.

Here are some examples all with f(z) = z3-1 approaching to the solution z = 0. The pictures represent different zooms.
